The Recipe Reader is powered by www.keyingredient.com, the best site on the internet for you to find, create, share and collect your recipes. Membership is free and getting started is easy. To get started, sign up for a free account at Key Ingredient. Once you have a Key Ingredient account, you can log in and begin adding recipes. There are several ways to add recipes to www.keyingredient.com.
You can add recipes through the Add new recipe page on the Key Ingredient site by typing them in directly, or by cutting and pasting the recipe's text into the Import recipe page from Word, Notepad (on Windows) or TextEdit (on Macs). You can also use our Cookmark to import recipes you find on other web sites. Keyingredient.com has over 1 million recipes that you can Add to your personal cookbooks or Save to your Favorites folder.
Once you have set up a keyingredient.com account, you're ready to install the Key Ingredient sync software that allows you to synchronize your Recipe Reader with your Key Ingredient account. You can download the software here: Windows software and Mac OS X software. If you have any trouble installing the software, please view an install guide, or contact Customer Service at firstname.lastname@example.org or via our Live Help Service for assistance.
After the Key Ingredient sync software is installed on your computer, power ON your Recipe Reader. Allow your Recipe Reader to load to the Cookbooks screen before connecting it to your computer. When the Recipe Reader is fully loaded to the Main Cookbook Screen, connect it to your computer with the provided USB cable. Next, launch the Key Ingredient software and log in using the email address (not your user name) and password for your Key Ingredient account. Finally, press the silver "Sync" button to begin downloading your recipes from Key Ingredient to your Recipe Reader.
