Are you getting an error message?
- If you are getting a Network Error Message "This method requires authorization," please follow the steps below:
- Launch the syncing software
- Select "File"
- Select "Sign in as another user"
- Enter your KeyIngredient.com email address and password
- Press "Login"
- Press the silver "Sync" button when the syncing window reads "ready to sync."
- If you are getting an "Invalid Serial Number" Message, please:
- Disconnect the Recipe Reader from your computer and close the Key Ingredient sync window
- Reboot your Recipe Reader
- If you turn the Recipe Reader over on its back side you will see a label with a picture of an orange pot on it. It will have a combination of 2 letters on it, of which will either be UL or CE. Depending on which you have please follow the instructions accordingly.
- If UL is listed, hold the gray manual power button down until you hear it beep (about 2 seconds). Then press the gray power button again to power it back on.
- If CE is listed, click the gray power button to power off the (it will not beep). Then click the gray power button again to power it back on.
- Allow the Recipe Reader to load to the main cookbook menu (about 30-40 seconds)
- Connect the Recipe Reader to the gray USB cord and directly to your computer's tower and not through a hub or adapter, for best results.
- Launch the syncing software
- Press the silver "Sync" button when the syncing window reads "ready to sync."
Is your "Sync" button grayed out or unavailable?
- Reboot your Recipe Reader (See above)
- For best results, please connect the provided gray USB cord directly into the computer and not through a hub or adapter.
- If the "Sync" button is still gray, unplug the USB cord from its current location and plug it into a different USB port on your computer
